Chepsiror said the body of the child had been retrieved and taken to a mortuary awaiting a postmortem.

The local administrator disclosed that the area had many children loitering because they had been neglected by their parents.

“I called the father to the child, and he told me he has been away from his home for the last six months and does not know where his wife and children are,” Chepsiror said, as reported by The Star.

While vowing to arrest parents who have neglected their children, the local administrator said many minors have been forced to loiter around looking for food.

“The children are forced to loiter around looking for food on their own because parents have neglected them,” he added.
