So far, homicide detectives have retrieved the body of a woman wrapped in a blanket from the shallow grave outside a mud house in Kaliwa village, Waitaluk ward.

The woman whose body was exhumed has been identified as Alice Chemutai, who was a resident of Kitale town.

Trans Nzoia DCI boss Paul Songok led homicide officers at the home where the body was exhumed.

Three suspects have been arrested as the homicide officers were deployed to guard a home last night.

Trans Nzoia County police commander Jeremiah Ole Kosiom says they had obtained a court order to dig the grave after they arrested two suspects.

“We have two suspects in custody and we will know the whole truth,” Kosiom said.

How Kenyans reacted to DCI's statement about Kware serial killer

Elsewhere, the DCI's announcement of a cash reward for anyone with information on Collins Jumaisi's whereabouts attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans.

On Thursday, August 22, the DCI asked the public to help locate the Kware murder suspect, who escaped from Gigiri Police Station.

The DCI said anyone with information that could help re-arresting Jumaisi will be given a cash reward.

However, the DCI did not disclose the exact reward amount for information on Jumaisi's whereabouts, describing it only as "significant."

The statement by DCI attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans, some questioning why the amount was not made public.
