Ruto wrapped his arm around one of the kindergarten kids as he enjoyed a chat with another kid.
In the background, another girl walked from side to side as she called the armed forces commander-in-chief by his name.
"Ruto, Ruto," she said as she sought to gain the attention of the fifth president of Kenya.
The young boy Ruto was engaging with said his mum had promised to give him money when he returned home.
The little girl finally got the president's attention and told him she wanted a chocolate.
Her request was granted as she was given the privilege to take some from the table.
