In a heartwarming gesture, Vihiga businessman Alex Kidake has announced his plans to sponsor a mass wedding for 100 couples this December.

Kidake will cover all expenses, ensuring couples can start their marital journey without financial worries.

What does the wedding package include?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the entrepreneur shared his strong belief in the institution of marriage and his desire to help those who cannot afford their dream weddings.

The package will include a Toyota Landcruiser for the bride and groom and a bus for each of their families.

“In the first week of announcing the offer, 30 couples have registered,” Kidake revealed.

The upcoming event promises to be grand as it coincides with the December festivities.

How many guests are expected?

To make it even more appealing, Kidake has invited leaders from the Luhyia community, including Musalia Mudavadi, Eugene Wamalwa and Kalonzo Musyoka.

"We have budgeted for 10,000, so there will be several catering companies to prepare food for the attendees," he continued.

This will be the event's second edition, which he intends to hold annually until every willing couple in the community can get married.

The mass wedding initiative is part of Kidake’s broader commitment to social causes. It aims to alleviate the financial burdens that often accompany weddings.
