Tony Sherman and Kendi, the couple who went viral for meeting at anti-government protests and falling in love, have officially wedded.

The couple walked down the aisle on Sunday, August 25, in Nairobi CBD.

Maandamano couple public wedding in Nairobi

Their wedding attracted attention because it was done on the streets where passersby and businesses could witness the ceremony.

Comedian Mchungaji MCeed the public wedding, and the couple exchanged vows at a church before proceeding to the streets.

They also rode a horse and made lovely memories with their fans, who had shown up for them.

The newlyweds looked classy, with the bride donning a white wedding gown and the groom wearing a white African attire complete with its headgear.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Sherman thanked his fans for coming out for him and making the event a success.

"Today is one of the happiest days of my life. I want to thank God and my friends for their support. They made it happen. We are now officially the Shermans," the young man said.

The bride was just as thrilled and optimistic that they were a perfect match made in heaven.

"The wedding has been great. I didn't expect this much love. May God bless everyone who supported us. I pray for a fortunate marriage," she said.

Three days ago, content creator Terence Creative pledged to sponsor the couple's honeymoon.

Terence expressed his support for the couple and announced that he would collaborate with Bonfire Adventures to sponsor their honeymoon.

The celebrated comedian advised Sherman to embrace peace in his union with Kendi and always seek guidance from his seniors.

Sherman thanked Terence for his offer to provide support.

Notably, the couple previously appealed to Kenyans for financial support to hold their wedding and their friends didn't fail them.
