Nakuru: Nyawira Wa Rey, a young woman who was living a beautiful life with her young husband seven years ago, has remembered how her life came to a crashing halt.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke in an interview, Nyawira shared that her dear late husband was part of the Governor Susan Kihika's media team that died in a horrible plane crash at Lake Nakuru during the 2017 election campaigns.
"Today I came across the first picture on the internet. This very first picture carries with it a lot of memories. This was four months after the demise of my baby's dad at the memorial service back in 2018," she said.

"He died when I was due; I was 39 weeks or so pregnant. I was only 22years old ( I looked older though. Here, James Wakibia took several photos of me for memories. Meeeehn, I was broken. I think he even gave me transport to go to Lake Nakuru . At some point we used to survive with uji," shared Nyawira.
In the first picture, Nyawira's thoughts were on how her dad prayed for her daughter when she was five months pregnant.
"Mark you, he was not even a church guy, but this very day he made his friends the late Kipyegon and George Mkombozi wait for him just to pray for our baby (it's like he knew it would be the last time)," she said.
"At this point, I was asking God too many questions. A widow at 22years old? I was wondering how we survived. I had no confidence or self-esteem; I was so so confused. It was four months after his demise but I had no idea where I would start; I was at a standstill," added Nyawira.
In a moving Facebook post, Nyawira shared that she collapsed at the memorial service and the man's family had denied her
"I didn't want drama but it still followed me after I collapsed. A few members from @team100 bought me some milk for the baby. Thanks to now the Nakuru first Gentleman Sam Mburu someone tell him I will never forget what he did for me and Mimo Shirley Gee. He's a kind soul," said the young woman.
"It's now almost seven years of God's grace. Hatujafika but as you can see from the second photo, I look younger than the first one. That reminds me I was told that you're too old for our son. Please allow me to laugh because I cried enough," said Nyawira.
According to Nyawira, her girl is all grown.
"Sometimes, when I'm struggling with her needs, I remind God of that prayer that her dad made when she was yet to be born. It was so detailed, and he really begged God not to allow his baby to suffer. We have suffered a lot but I know one day it will change. Although we have hard times, it is not like we suffered a long time ago. One can't tell that people fundraised for us to get food, it's Jesus.
"I was young and confused because I had set my mind that I was married so was devastated when it happened. I would like to tell other women in similar situation that it is okay to seek help. I proud of how far I have come; trusting the process and believing in God," she told TUKO.co.ke.
Nyawira is a caterer and she is asking people to to help her get orders for events and at home so that she doesn't go back where she came from.
