The preacher gave a sermon before the mourners took over.
The whole field was left with mourners dancing and singing, and Dida's parents were seen smiling at some point as the mourners waved at them.
In her tribute, the actress's mother revealed that Dida was unaware of her beauty growing up. The mother said that her daughter had the most gorgeous eyes she had ever seen.
Dida’s mum also spoke about her struggle with cancer, saying she understood her daughter’s struggles as she was her caregiver.
The thespian's dad, Edward Kwena, thanked her former employer, Lulu Hassan. He said that Lulu was a special person in their family for her kind heart.
Images from the funeral showed celebrities and film industry players, including Lulu and Trisha Khalid.
Lulu particularly seemed to be hit hard, as she looked deep in thought.
"Lulu portraying the pain of a mother. She can clearly understand the pain of losing a child," wrote one Kenyan.
"Lulu is in pain. May you be comforted in Christ," added another.
On Friday, September 20, the family and friends of the actress picked up her body at the Kisumu airport.
The mum was dressed in an all-black attire and was surrounded by family.
