Kenyans continue to mourn actress Winnie Bwire, popularly known as Dida.
On Sunday, September 8, the body of the Mombasa-based actress arrived in the country aboard Ethiopian Airlines and was taken to Pandya Hospital mortuary.

Bwire had travelled to Turkey with her mother and even shared a video of her in the hospital singing a gospel song for her and dancing.
After their daughter's body touched down, the two parents were overwhelmed by emotions, and Bwire's mother burst into tears as family and friends comforted her.

Dida, in the Sultana TV series, was in love with JJ, a young man from a wealthy family. They were even engaged, but JJ went on to marry another lady, Sultana.
JJ, whose real name is Othman Njaidi, mourned his on-screen girlfriend with a tearjerking message.
He shared a video from one of the episodes of them in bed and several photos they took together, expressing his sadness.
Winnie was in a relationship with fellow Mombasa-based actor, Dan Sonko, and they served couple goals for days before parting ways amicably in 2023.
