Developer Peter Nyaga Encourages Candidates Who Scored E In 2023 KCSE: "You're Made Of More"

While many are enjoying the joy of performing well in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, others are gloomy because of poor results.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu expressed his displeasure over the decline in performance for the 2023 KCSE examination.

During the release of the results on Monday, January 8, Machogu disclosed that 48,174 out of the 899,453 who sat for their examination scored grade E.

Afterwards, Certified Homes managing director Peter Nyaga took to social media to encourage the candidates who bagged grade E.

"Failure is failing to try. Give it another shot.

My advice to these candidates is that all is not lost, there are so many options available for you, and the world is full of opportunities. Don’t be defined by what you scored," part of his post read.

What should a candidate who scored E in KCSE do?

The established entrepreneur and philanthropist added:

"In the world we live in today, the E students employ the A students".

The businessman encouraged the candidates to take a technical course and venture into business.

"Follow your passion. You are made of more," he noted in his post that garnered reactions from social media users.

How many candidates scored straight As in 2023 KCSE?

In another story, CS Machogu announced that 1, 216 candidates achieved straight As, with 7,254 attaining the A- (minus) grade.

Machogu observed that of those who scored As, 889 were from national schools, while 172 were from extra-county schools.

"There were 1,216 (0.14%) candidates who obtained an overall grade of A in the 2023 KCSE Examination compared to 1,146 (0.13%) candidates in the year 2022," Machogu said.
