Nakuru Man, 92, Recalls Negotiating Dowry Price For Wife: "KSh 10k Imetosha"

• The 92-year-old headed to Nakuru county to meet Ndung'u's father and discuss the payment of the dowry for his lovely wife
• He had been asked to give KSh 20,000, but by the time he was leaving his wife's home, he had negotiated and paid half

Nakuru - An elderly man has narrated his experience paying the bride price for his beautiful wife.

Ndung'u Kariuki Kahato had only met Winny a few times but was ready to marry her.

The 92-year-old was ready to meet the family of the love of his life and disclose to them his plans with their daughter.

Heading to Nakuru for dowry payment

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Kahato said he requested a man named Macharia to go with Ndung'u to her home and have a word with the family.

"I told Macharia to go with her to her parents in Nakuru because I did not want to live with somebody's daughter without their kin's knowledge.

They left. The report that I got from Macharia confused me. I told him I wanted to meet the old man and hear from him," Kariuki narrated.

True to his word, Kariuki packed his bags and headed to Nakuru county to meet his now father-in-law.

He was convinced he would have an amicable agreement with Winny's father and even lower the price.

"I met her father, who told me I was supposed to fulfil the traditional dowry requirements before we could talk. Macharia talked about KSh 20,000, but I said I had KSh 10,000.

The KSh 10000 was accepted. Now, the journey of getting married began. I had to see the parents. It was not a joke," the Nakuru man said.

How much was Size 8's dowry?

Elsewhere, DJ Mo disclosed he paid KSh 150,000 dowry for his gorgeous wife, Size 8.

Mo narrated how pastor Size 8 used to visit him in Githurai, clean his house clothes and cook for him during their dating stages.

The father of two said he played a major role in his wife's salvation and revealed he paid KSh 150,000 for dowry.

Mo also disclosed that they would have been parents to four children, but unfortunately, they lost two.
