The money was meant for another person living in Kibera, but he thought he was lucky.

"I did not know about reversing money, so I spent it. Some of it was used to settle some loans. I sent my wife some money and explained what had happened. She warned me against using money that was not ours, but I did not listen," he said.

Following up on a road accident case

It was not long before he had strange experiences, which he blamed on the use of money mistakenly sent to him.

First, he said he was involved in an accident where a car ran over his foot while he was waiting for a vehicle at a bus station.

"I was taken to hospital for first aid. We later went to the police station to record a statement. The matter was taken to court, but after several hearings, there was no help. I am following up on the case today," he said.

Losing cows, son

Recently, he said he lost a son, which was the highlight of his strange experiences that made him rethink the decision he made over the money sent to him.

He said the son passed away shortly after being born, leaving the family in unprecedented pain and heartbreak.

"I also lost my cows, and in all these, I kept on replaying the words of my wife that I never heeded. Now I am in so much pain and great loss," he said.
