A Ugandan man had a night he will never forget after he was invited on stage by a female dancer of Jamaican singer Konshens at the Blankets And Wine festival.

The event, which showcases African music and culture, took place on Sunday, December 17, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Konshens’ dancer impressed the crowd with her flexibility and energy.

In a video shared on X by user @jalirabagi, the dancer, who was wearing a mini-skirt, grabbed a young man by the collar of his shirt from backstage and brought him to the front.

She lifted him and wrapped her legs around his waist.

She then spun herself around faster and faster with the man on her waist until he lost his balance and dropped him down.

The man tried to run away to avoid another round of dancing, but the woman caught him again.

This time, the man struggled to free himself from her grip.

Konshens awarded KSh 26m in copyright suit

Separately, the High Court in Kampala awarded the Jamaican singer KSh 26 million.

The Gyal a bubble dancehall artiste, sued Airtel Uganda, accusing the telecommunications giant of, without his authority, using his songs as downloadable callback tones.

Kalenge Bwanika Kisubi and Company Advocates represented the musician in the copyright infringement suit.

According to MBU, Konshens sued the telco and two other defendants in 2015, stating he exclusively owns the intellectual property of some of his songs.
