American rapper Fabulous has spoken out after a gaffe that saw Kenyans bash him on Instagram.

Why Fabulous angered Kenyans

The veteran rapper landed in Kenya for an event and posted blurry images on his Instagram account captured back when he was in the US.

One of his followers poked fun at the phone that captured them.

“Whose android took these?" wondered the Instagram user.
"Could be my WiFi. I am in Africa right now. LOL," Fabulous responded.

The rapper's response irked many Kenyans, who bashed him for seemingly looking down on the country and continent. Kenyans flocked to his comments section, with some calling for his deportation.

Fabulous temporarily turned off the comments before eventually responding to the backlash. He downplayed his comment as a joke, saying he was not being disrespectful

What Fabulous said to Kenyans, rides matatu

“I’m sure the Android comment was a joke, and so was the response. How you spun that into me being disrespectful is beyond me.
I guess that’s what I get for trying to show love and respond to comments.”

Fabulous noted that he had received nothing but love since arriving in Kenya while blaming the comments on trolls.

“Bad Wi-Fi or bad phone service can be anywhere. Not just subject to Africa. So how is saying I have bad service disrespect, especially in response to a joke said to me? Always love Kenya,” he concluded.

However, his explanation elicited mixed reactions.

“Next time you come to Kenya, and you disrespect our country in any way, we will deport you,” wrote an unforgiving Kenyan.
“It’s okay, Fabulous, love you,” added another.

The rapper was later spotted riding in a souped-up matatu while rhythmically nodding. The camera panned and depicted a huge TV screen playing the video.

Why Kenyans bashed Alinur Mohamed

In other news, Mercy Tarus grabbed Kenyans' attention after blasting Uasin Gishu leaders over the alleged misappropriation of scholarship funds.

However, youthful politician Alinur Mohamed accused her of disrespecting the leaders, including Senator Jackson Mandago.

However, Kenyans on social media defended the young lady while accusing Alinur of seeking attention.
