Kipchumba Murkomen Confirms Notorious Corrupt Woman Mentioned By William Ruto Was Fired

• President William Ruto had described the woman working in the Ministry of Transport as being corrupt to the core
• However, Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed that the employee in question had been fired in May
• According to Ruto, the woman was conspiring with some judges to prevent the government from transferring her

Nairobi - Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary has revealed that the corrupt government employee exposed by President William Ruto was dismissed from her job.

In a statement on Tuesday, August 1, Murkomen said the woman Ruto had branded notorious corrupt was fired early this year.

William Ruto exposes corrupt woman

The Transport CS assured the country that all due process was followed while firing the woman who worked in his ministry.

"For the avoidance of doubt, the officer mentioned by HE President Ruto was dismissed from the government agency on 29th of May 2023 after the due process was followed," Murkomen said.

During the signing of performance contracts for cabinet secretaries at State House, Nairobi, Ruto had described the woman as "corrupt to the core".

According to the president, the woman in question had developed a tendency to use courts to frustrate attempts to transfer her from the Ministry of Transport.

“There was one lady in one of the Roads department, corrupt to the core, to the extent that she could not be transferred by anybody, even by the minister, because if she was transferred she would go to court, buy the court process and make sure that she is returned, that is the kind of chronic that corruption has taken us.

I hope that lady no longer works for the government of Kenya. We cannot have such. There are people who have made government offices their private property,” Ruto stated.

William Ruto warns against graft

Meanwhile, Ruto reiterated that he would not tolerate corruption in his Kenya Kwanza government.

The head of state said he wouldn't hesitate to take action against any government official suspected of engaging in corruption.

"It will not be business as usual. I made a commitment to the people of Kenya that there would be no money to steal. There is only money to deliver on the programmes, on the projects, on the aspirations," he warned.
