"The Kikuyu Nation will revolt against Riggy G in two years time … all Mt Kenya Governors Loathe him and would rather keep quite than say anything … they consider him a total embarrassment," Olekina said on Twitter.

He further went ahead to say that the residents have decided to coil back and watch things from a distance instead of disrupting normalcy with demonstrations.

"Demonstration scares most people, so the most effective protest is staying at home and minding your own business … I agree with Raila Odinga," he said.

His comments came a few days after President William Ruto's Mount Kenya tour elapsed, where he engaged with residents of the region together with leaders in government.

Jubilee leaders say Uhuru Kenyatta is Kikuyu kingpin

A section of Jubilee leaders insisted that retired president Uhuru Kenyatta is still the Mt Kenya kingpin and not the deputy president, as a section of Kenya Kwanza leaders has been declaring.

The Jubilee leaders, led by embattled secretary-general Jeremiah Kioni maintained that Uhuru remains the supreme leader of the vote-rich Mt Kenya region despite his exit from active politics.

Speaking earlier today, Thursday, April 13, the politicians said the kingpin seat would only be vacant after the former head of state declares he is no longer interested in it.

"Recently, we saw some leaders say that Rigathi Gachagua is the Mt Kenya kingpin. The kingpin remains Uhuru Kenyatta. We are standing by him until he says he is tired of holding the seat," the leader said flanked by other Jubilee members.
