Nairobi - A man is facing theft-related charges after allegedly making away with a car owner's monies.
Nation.Africa reports that Gabriel Andere had been charged with washing the plaintiff's car on August 15 in Nairobi's Komarock area when he discovered bundles of notes inside an envelope.
The car wash is situated at K-Mall.
The monies belonged to Dennis Kabaika, a businessman who had withdrawn the said amount to settle his workers.

He noted that the money was missing after branching to a filling station to fuel.
Kaibaika returned to the car wash premises, where he found Andere missing, but went ahead to inform the management.
The businessman would then proceed to the Kayole Police Station where he filed a plaint with the officers there.
Detectives immediately embarked on investigations and ultimately traced him to his native village of Namuchilla in Butula, Busia county.
While admitting to the theft, Andere told the police that he did not bother to count the monies when he grabbed them.
After a thorough search at the suspect's home, the detectives found KSh 800,000, new jackets, and shoes.
The case is set to make progress after the prosecution avails the money and the items.

After the worker was done, Zachery called and rewarded him with $1000 (KSh 144,300) for his kindness and willingness to help.
Another video showed that the generous giver returned some days after and blessed the man with another $20,000 (KSh 2.9 million) people contributed to him.
The car wash fellow became emotional and said he had not even gotten $100 (KSh 14,430) as a gift from anyone before.
