Mugithi star Samidoh has left tongues wagging after his comment on polygamy during Muigai wa Njoroge's dowry payment ceremony for his second wife.

Is Samidoh planning to marry Karen Nyamu?

Samidoh, who has been married to Edday Nderitu for 15 years and has a baby mama, Karen Nyamu, performed at Muigai and Queen Stacey's traditional wedding on Saturday, August 26.

During speech time, Samidoh was given a chance to speak, and he boldly said he would follow in Muigai's footsteps.

"Kwa hivo Muigai steps ni kama hizi tu, juu life ni hii tu (I will follow in Muigai's footsteps because that is life)," the singer said briefly and it is not clear whether he was joking or meant it.

Not so long ago, Edday said she would not raise her children in a polygamous family.

Samidoh reveals he's not married Nyamu

The father of five and the nominated senator have been hanging out together since May when his wife Edday moved to the US.

From attending their son's school events and Samidoh's family gatherings to displaying their affection publicly, the two lovebirds prove that love wins.

In April, screenshots of a private WhatsApp conversation between Nyamu and Samidoh were leaked by blogger Edgar Obare.

In the screenshots, Nyamu referred to Samidoh as 'my husband, ' leaving netizens wondering whether they were legally married.

TUKO.co.ke reached out to Samidoh for a comment on whether he was legally married to Nyamu after she referred to him as 'my husband', and he said they were not legally married.

"Ikikuwa legal nitawaambia tuu (If we formalise our relationship, I will tell you guys)," Samidoh said.
