Kiambu - Anthony Njomo, a 35-year-old engineer at the US embassy, tragically lost his life on Saturday, May 25, at Qukin Lounge.

The fatal incident took place following a confrontation between two groups that turned violent inside the club.

Was Anthony Njomo involved in the fight?

One group had an armed security member who is believed to have fatally shot Njomo.

Citizen Digital reported that the altercation stemmed from disputes over women.

"According to a report by the DCI team investigating the incident, a conflict erupted between the two parties. The first respondent's group and the second respondent's group clashed over accusations of seducing each other's women," read a report by DCI team probing the matter.

However, according to CCTV footage provided by the lounge's management, Njomo was not involved in the altercation; he was merely present near the scene.

"The altercation moved outside the Qukin lounge, where a group with an armed bouncer shot a partygoer standing close to the conflict area," the DCI officer added.

Suspects in Anthony Njomo's murder detained

Following the incident, two individuals, identified as Nason Kiteme and Joseph Njenga, have been apprehended as suspects in connection with the murder.

They will remain in custody for 10 days while authorities conduct further investigations to uncover the identity of the actual shooter, who remains at large.

Njomo was expecting his second child

Njomo's untimely death is particularly heartbreaking as he was anticipating the arrival of a new addition to his family.

He leaves behind a wife, a child, and an unborn baby, adding a poignant layer of tragedy to the senseless loss of life.

A close family member disclosed that they were planning a baby shower for Njomo's heavily pregnant wife before his untimely demise.
