TikToker Baba Talisha has declared that he will never organize another online fundraiser like he did for Brian Chira.

The fundraiser initially intended to honour the memory of the late social media sensation, but it took an unexpected detour.

Allegations of mismanagement, embezzlement, and questionable financial practices surfaced, casting a shadow over the entire course.

Baba Talisha, who spearheaded the initiative, was adversely mentioned as Chira's grandmother accused him of refusing to hand over KSh 8 million collected from well-wishers.

In an emotional live video on TikTok, the father of one addressed the allegations and shared receipts of the expenditure.

His tearful eyes conveyed frustration, disappointment, and exhaustion at the ongoing drama.

"If I explain myself, they say I am talking too much and seeking sympathy. If I keep quiet, they accuse me of wrongdoing. What am I supposed to do?" he questioned.

Baba Talisha regrets offering help

He added that since spearheading Chira's fundraiser, he had been approached by countless other people requesting his assistance.

The challenge, according to him, is that these people get annoyed and insult him whenever he turns down their requests.

In the wake of the drama, Baba Talisha vowed to focus on his content creation and personal growth.

"Nimeinua mikono! Mkinipata nikichangisha tena mnichune maskio (I have surrendered. If you find me holding another fundraiser please pinch my ears)," he said.

The philanthropist's loyal followers expressed support, urging him to prioritize his mental well-being.

King Roso gifts Baba Talisha 10 lions

The silver lining in Baba Talisha's case is that after trending the entire weekend for all the wrong reasons, he will be smiling all the way to the bank.

After accounting for how the money for Chira's funeral was spent, TikTok gifter King Roso sent him 10 lions.

On TikTok, a lion is worth KSh 40,000, which means the content creator went to bed over KSh 400,000 richer.

What else you need to know:

  • Chira's grandmother recently claimed her grandson was killed, questioning why the postmortem results took so long.
  • The drama started when TikToker Obidan went live and called Chira's grandmother to clarify rumours surrounding the cash raised for the funeral.
  • After accounting for the money, hoping to clear the allegations, Baba Talisha threatened to take legal action against Chira's grandmother.
