Bomet: Decomposing Body Of Fully Dressed Woman Found Covered With Blanket Inside Her House

Police in Bomet county are investigating an incident where the decomposing body of a woman, fully dressed and wrapped in a blanket, was found inside her house.

How the body of Faith Kerubo was discovered

The woman, identified as Faith Kerubo, from Konoin village, was discovered by her neighbour who had gone to borrow food items from her.

According to a report by Citizen Digital, the neighbour forced her way into the house after Kerubo failed to respond.

"After knocking severally with no response, the neighbour was prompted to force her way in and found Kerubo lying on her side, covered in a blanket and almost decaying," the police said.

Who was Faith Kerubo?

According to the Konoin police at the scene, Kerubo resided in the neighbourhood and was working as a labourer on a tea farm in the area.

"The deceased is a residence of Konoin area and worked in a tea farm in the around the area," the officer confirmed.

Bruises were discovered on the deceased body, who, according to the officer, was dressed in a black skirt and white blouse.

The case is being treated as a possible murder. The cause of her death is yet to be established.

Kerubo's remains were taken to Kapkatet Sub County Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.

Man kills wife after domestic violence

In other news, a man in Nandi killed his wife after an alleged domestic fight before taking his own life.

The 57-year-old Isaac Chepngok is said to have hit his 55-year-old wife, who died while undergoing treatment at Kapsabet Referral Hospital.

His body was found at their homestead in Kilibwoni area.
