Florida, the woman who was seen cooking by the roadside with her children in Bomet county, is set to get a new home thanks to well-wishers.

Florida is a mum of 6 kids

The mum of six shot into the limelight after she was seen cooking with pots and pans by the roadside in the biting cold.

The lady found herself homeless after her husband kicked her out and could not go home since her single-parent mum didn't have land and had been housed by her boda boda rider son.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, philanthropist Mutai Kiprono Daniel shared that the determined woman still takes casual jobs to provide for her kids, but they are not enough.

"She's currently hosted by a village elder at his home, and we're mobilising resources to save the situation to avoid a future regrets. You're aware of her, and you require further explanation. Just make a visit through the direction of the old man who is hosting the woman and the kids.
The mum is facing a lot of challenges this rainy season; she's currently being hosted by a village elder who is ready to sell her a point of land costing KSh 80,00," said Mutai.
"Now we've managed to collect KSh 22,000, and we are still requesting well-wishers to support through PayBill 247247, Acc. 0740770499 or M-Pesa number 0740770499," he added.
