Ciru Muriuki has remembered her late fiancé, Charle Ouda, who passed away on the night of February 3.

How Charles Ouda proposed to Ciru Muriuki

The award-winning actor died barely six months after proposing to the former BBC journalist. They had just moved in together when the cruel hand of death struck.

During Ouda's memorial mass, Ciru narrated how they met, sharing their love journey, leaving Kenyans in tears.

The 42-year-old media personality revealed she first met Ouda when he was still studying at St. Mary's School and fell in love with his smile and physique.

The two reconnected in 2020 after Ciru lost her father, and they started dating until September 2023, when he proposed to her.

"After a while, it was clear that there was something between us that was completely undeniable, so I fought it. When I accepted it, not it was his turn to fight it. But there was this almost cosmic pull between us," teary Ciru said.

Ouda and his partner were planning to tie the knot this year before his sudden demise.

Charles Ouda cremated

On Thursday, February 15, TUKO.co.ke reported that a sombre mood engulfed Kariokor Crematorium as family and friends of Charles Ouda paid their last respects.

Ouda's fiancee burst into tears as the late actor was being cremated at the Kariokor Crematorium in Nairobi.

Ciru shed tears as friends Patricia Kihoro and Silas Miami and other relatives comforted her during her fiancé's cremation.
