Film and music video director Director Ritchie and his wife Rena Solomon are planning to gift a couple a dream wedding worth KSh 700,000.

In an exclusive with TUKO.co.ke, Ritchie revealed that he and his wife decided to gift a couple of their dream wedding since they believed in marriage.

What was the criteria for choosing the lucky couple?

The couple had announced via their social media pages that they wanted to surprise a couple.

"The reason why we decided to do that is because we struggled to do our ruracio and the way we always talk of marriage works in our channel. We encourage couples who stay together that one day things will be fine. And then we decided, why don't we do a wedding, and we announced on our pages that a couple could win a free wedding. We announced two months ago and the criteria was there. For the free wedding, we catered for nearly everything except for rings and their clothes," he said.

The video director and his wife Rena were looking for a saved couple with wedding plans, but they lacked funds as the groom had lost his job.

"Its God. They had planned their wedding without money. They had faith it would happen. They had carried on with their plans. They had raised KSh 50,000 only. We came as destiny helpers."

Ritchie disclosed that they were splurging KSh 7000,000 on the couple, and his wife was planning the wedding for the lucky couple.

"The budget is around KSh 700,000. We are doing the sound, videography, photography, cake, and decor. My wife is taking care of all that. She is meeting with the planner, and the wedding will be on May 25," said Ritchie.

In other news, the couple, during a Q and A session with TUKO Extra, Ritchie's wife said that he had once locked himself in the house with a lady refusing to open it even when she knocked several times.

When he finally opened, Rena claimed he was sweating, making her wonder what might have transpired in the house.

When she asked him what had happened, she said he told her he and the lady had been dancing.
