Kilifi - The County government of Kilifi has threatened to dispose of hundreds of bodies from the Shakahola Massacre at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi.
At least 400 bodies from the Shakahola fasting cult have been stored in containers at the Malindi Sub-county Hospital.
During a visit by the government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura and Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa, Mung'aro issued an ultimatum to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki to remove the bodies.

Mung'aro stated that failure to act on the bodies, he would pull the containers to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi.
The county boss lamented that they had become a nuisance, alleging they were producing a foul smell.
"Next week, if you haven't taken those bodies, I'll take them myself with lorries and bring them to Nairobi and place them in your area. It's not possible because the smell has been there for a whole year," he declared.
The county boss claimed that for the last year, he has been paying electricity bills at the Kilifi facility despite the fact that the function is the national government's.
He added that his efforts to reach Kindiki had been futile even after promising to repay the amount.
"I have paid the electricity bill and the expenses for the people of Kilifi from last year until now, totalling KSh 36 million, to cover the bill for Shakahola. I have also spent money on equipment for the people who were working there, and this is a matter of national importance. I did not have a budget for this. If asked by the Auditor General, what will I say?" Mung'aro posed.
Earlier, a sombre atmosphere enveloped Malindi County Hospital mortuary on Tuesday, March 26, punctuated by the heart-wrenching cries of grieving families.
The families were finally granted the opportunity to lay eyes on the identified bodies of their loved ones lost in the Shakahola cult massacre.
Scores of families had been gathering, their anticipation mingled with a profound sense of dread, waiting to begin the process of bidding farewell to their loved ones.
