Kisii - A fight has broken out in the Kisii County Assembly following a heated debate on the impeachment motion against administration executive Alfred Ndemo.
The fight broke out during the voting on Ndemo's future after a week of grilling by an ad hoc Kisii Assembly House committee headed by Masige East MCA Michael Motume.
In videos shared online, the county lawmakers descended on the House's floor as they engaged in a shouting contest.

The county assembly speaker could be seen trying to bring the MCAs to order as one of the lawmakers attempted to shake the ballot box.
A push and pull among opposing MCAs also erupted, and one of the benches was dismantled during the process.
The sergeants at arms were also swift to protect the House's authority and dignity by encircling the mace to protect it.
During the voting on Tuesday, May 28, Motume's motion to send Ndemo home was resoundingly defeated after failing to marshal adequate support.
The executive has been out of office for almost a year after Governor Simba Arati interdicted him.
Motume wanted Ndemo impeached over alleged misuse of his powers and abuse of office after he allegedly asked an enforcement officer to escort him home.
During voting, 43 MCAs voted against the impeachment motion, while 23 were in favour of Ndemo being impeached. A member abstained, while another absconded from voting.
Separately, a majority of the members of the senate found Kisii deputy governor Robert Monda guilty of the accusations that led to his ouster.
On February 29, 53 members of the Kisii County Assembly voted in support of Monda's removal from office after he was accused of gross misconduct, constitutional violations, abuse of office, and breach of national laws.
During the voting, most senators voted for his impeachment in each of the allegations, as only a few expressed differing opinions.
He is the first deputy governor to be successfully impeached since the rollout of devolved government.
