Renowned media personality Victoria Rubadiri has joined CNN.

Rubadiri left Citizen TV after a successful six-year stint.

During her tenure at Citizen TV, she won the prestigious Komla Dumor Award, which will see her temporarily relocate to London for a three-month stint with the BBC in 2020.

Larry Madowo took to social media to congratulate the mother of one after CNN officially welcomed her via their social media handles.

He wrote:

CNN noted that the journalist had a new role in their multiplatform series Connecting Africa. They wrote:

Madowo walks through flooded Mathare slum

TUKO.co.ke recently featured the CNN’s international correspondent after encountering the devastating impact of the floods firsthand in Mabatini, Mathare.

In a video, he was seen wading through ankle-deep water on a submerged basketball court in Mathare, expressing solidarity with the affected community.

Madowo also expressed how shocked he was to see the effects of the flood and faulted responsible agencies for not offering any help.
