A woman identified as Julia Wanjiku is devastated as she has not found her son's body since the fateful day that floods swept their village after heavy rains.
Speaking in a video shared by CNN's Larry Madowo, Wanjiku revealed that the family was celebrating young Isaac's third birthday on that day, but strangely, he did not want to eat anything.
"He only ate the cake; I asked him Izo you won't eat anything else? He refused saying that he wanted to go to sleep," said Wanjiku.

"So I dressed the boy well, covered and tacked him in bed; I didn't know it was the last time I was seeing him," she added.
'According to the devastated mum, her husband really tried to save their child but the force of the water surging towards them was too much and overpowered him; he didn't even know how he let go of the boy.
"Iam only here because God saved me,"said Wanjiku.
Another story revealed that one hundred and sixty one Kenyans had lost their lives through floods as of Monday, April 30.
According to government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, Kenya Red Cross continued to rescue residents at the scene, where they said they had rescued more than 100 people.
Residents were filled with pain, anguish, and grief as they went to inquire about their relatives who were swept away by floods.
