Combative lawyer Miguna Miguna is known for taking no prisoners regarding conversations on his social media platforms.
On Tuesday, April 23, Miguna, who once vied for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat but lost the election, claimed that he had obtained incriminating dossiers implicating Nairobi leaders for perpetrating corruption.
"Good morning, Nairobi. I have been given piles of files showing more than a zillion thefts. Just reading the dossier makes my head hurt. Piles of documents proving fraud correspondence between some MCAs and Nairobi County Speaker seeking accountability," reads part of Miguna's post on X.

Based on the dossier he claims to possess, the lawyer implicates state agencies like the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
His claims follow an Auditor General's report that criticised Nairobi for having billions in legal fees pending bills.
Miguna's sensational claim, based on the public interest weight it carries, saw many Kenyans asking him to share the information while others accused him of failing to use the dossier to sue the implicated subjects.
A Kenyan who identifies as Finteacher on X quickly demanded that the lawyer take the evidence to court instead of posting it on social media.
"As a lawyer, why not do the right thing for your country? You have the power to take legal action with the evidence you possess, and doing so can make a positive difference for Wanjiku and others. The current system is corrupt, and we need individuals like you to fight for justice. Words without action are meaningless," Finteacher said.
In a quick rejoinder, Miguna poked holes into the Kenyan's proposal, saying he lacked understanding of legal processes in Kenya.
Miguna said that he could not sue those implicated in the corruption allegations because the matters were criminal in nature, and only state agencies could institute charges.
"These are criminal cases. Only state agencies have the power and mandate to charge him. Some of you should obtain refunds for tuition you paid," Miguna responded.
Another Kenyan, Joshua Achando, differed from Miguna in his legal position on the matter, saying he could pursue the issue through private prosecution.
According to the Auditor General, Nairobi county owes 11 law firms at least KSh 10.7 billion.
