West Pokot Woman, Kids Finally Embark On First-Ever Journey To Nairobi After Well-Wisher's Help

Milka Chelyech, the young mum who complained about not setting foot out of Kitlock in West Pokot county, has started her journey to the great city in the sun.

Who will bring Milka Chelyech to Nairobi?

Chelyech appeared in an interview and humbly asked Kenyans to help her visit Kitale and Nairobi towns as the farthest she has ever been to is Kesogon.

In Facebook photos shared by Zunguka Africa Safaris Ltd, Milka was seen with her kids and a neighbour who also accompanied her to the city.

"Zunguka Africa Safaris on the ground pale Katilok village, West Pokot, ready to bring Milka, her three boys and neighbour Elizabeth, to Nairobi," said the tour company.
"We can't wait!" they added.

On her part, Milka said that she needed someone to hold her hand to cross the busy Nairobi roads and also take her from one point to another.

Elizabeth said that she hoped that this would be the beginning of their problems getting national limelight.

"So much is happening here in West Pokot county, and we need it to get national attention so that we can get help," Elizabeth told TUKO.co.ke.

Milka says visit with kids a miracle

In another story, Milka termed her visit to the city with her kids and benovelent neighbour a great miracle for her.

Milka was part of a news segment with other people who had never set foot outside their towns because of money, not having relatives to visit, school, or they got married there.

While in Nairobi will undergo an extreme makeover and will also be given some pocket money for running around town.
