Mombasa - A family is crying for justice after their daughter was attacked by his now ex-lover.
Deborah Wangeci was reportedly doused with hot cooking oil by her then-lover after he lured her into his house.
She has, for the last 45 days, been inside a net enclosure to avoid infection as she heals from 30% deep and superficial burns.

According to her physician, Wafula Wasike, at Jocham Hospital, Wangeci has burns on her face, chest and lower limbs.
The suspect's sister reportedly called Wangeci, informing her that she was ailing, prompting her to visit.
It was after the visit that the lady informed her brother that Wangeci had visited her, and he promised to prepare lunch for them.
According to the 23-year-old, she was sitting waiting when the man walked up to where they were sitting and poured the hot oil over her.
"He went and heated the oil, then returned with it placed in a hot pot. Now, his sister asked him if he had cooked lunch in just two minutes. He told her cooking rice doesn't take a long time. His sister then said, "Then give me some." So, that's when her boyfriend opened the oil, while I was not even ready, just looking at my phone, and then he poured it all over me," she narrated from her hospital bed.
It is still not clear what motivated his actions, as photos of the couple showed they were happy and didn't have problems between them.
According to the victim's family, Wangeci's lover is still walking free, despite the family reporting the matter to the authorities.
They stated that the case was filed at Bamburi Police Station minutes before 9 pm. on Tuesday, March 12.
Her mother, Esther Wangeci, is still at a loss for words as she comprehends what had come over the young lad to inflict such pain on her daughter.
Wangeci's family is also struggling with meeting medical expenses as she continues to be admitted to the hospital.
Separately, a Mombasa Court sentenced a 30-year-old man to 30 years in prison for pouring acid on his ex-girlfriend's face, rendering her permanently blind.
Senior Resident Magistrate Gladys Olimo delivered the verdict, emphasising the irreversible harm caused to 23-year-old Fatuma Kaingu.
Despite the convict, Mohamed Mwarandu Kombe, denying the accusations and claiming self-defence by stating he only splashed liquid soap on her when she attacked him with a stone, the court found his defence inconsistent and pronounced him guilty.
