Musumba, Nairobi guard score same KCSE results

This shared academic achievement ignited a powerful commitment from Musumba to help Lepurishit overcome financial hurdles and pursue higher education.

“He finished high school in 2022. He said because of his background and family's financial position, university or college is just a mirage,” Musumba said in a past interview.
"Thank you, TUKO.co.ke, for highlighting my friend's plight. We are at KSh 45,000 and targeting KSh 100, 000 for his fee," he added on Facebook.

According to Musumba, they applied for college and were awaiting placement and the calling or admission letter to admit him.

Watchman from Starehe Boys now owns company

In March 2024, Ken Owuor Ondeng'e had a breakthrough after publicly lamenting that he attended Starehe Boys' Centre and held a degree in communication but was unlucky with getting work.

As of two years ago, he was a disillusioned man struggling to make ends meet on a meagre security guard salary.

Wishing for a better job, he went public, pleading to be given an internship opportunity where he could put his skills and knowledge to better use.

His breakthrough came when he publicly lamented, and his former schoolmates bought him motorcycles and a patrol car then registered a security company for him.
