Speaking on Sasa TV, the clergyman described how a single phone call from Uhuru was enough to calm the waters.

He reiterated that he had been a preacher during the regimes of Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru and that the latter was his favourite.

"Take me where you want to take me. You want to challenge my God, wait and see,” he added.

Did Pst Ng'ang'a grab Railways land?

Ng'ang'a has often fought the government over his prime land at the junction of Haile Selassie Avenue and Uhuru Highway.

This is after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) listed his parcels among those illegally hived from Kenya Railways' land.

Pastor Ng'ang'a has always maintained that he was the land's rightful owner, accusing the government of attempting to take it from him.

The controversial preacher says he bought the disputed land at KSh 42 million, financed through a loan from Equity Bank.

What you need to know about disputed land

  • The flamboyant city preacher said that the land belongs to the church, not personal property, explaining that God is not a land grabber.
  • Pastor Ng'ang'a appeared before the National Assembly's departmental committee on lands and stated that he purchased the land from the Central Bank of Kenya.
  • Therefore, he was shocked to receive a notification in 2020 informing him that his church had encroached on land initially reserved for railway use.
  • Ng'ang'a offered to sell the prime property to the government for KSh 200 billion.
