Renowned news anchor Cynthia Nyamai has been tasked with leading the newest branch of RIG East Africa (Restoration of Issachar’s Generation) in Nairobi.

The legendary TV personality, now a prophetess, officially received this significant assignment during a momentous event at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi on Friday, April 12.

Attendees were inspired by Nyamai’s powerful speeches and vision as she assumed her role as the head of RIG East Africa.

What's unique about RIG East Africa?

In her compelling address, Nyamai highlighted the distinctiveness of RIG East Africa compared to other contemporary churches.

She articulated the organization’s mission: to make a significant impact on East Africa’s spiritual, social, and economic landscape.

Unlike traditional religious institutions, RIG East Africa is committed to actively creating solutions rather than merely identifying problems and holding the churches accountable for their finances.

“We, as RIG Africa members, have decided to be proactive. Our goal is to initiate projects that will not only improve the economy but also empower ordinary citizens. We refuse to wait for the government to solve all our problems; instead, we’ll take matters into our own hands," Nyamai said.

What's next for RIG East Africa's graduates?

During the launch event, 60 individuals graduated with specialised praise and worship skills.

Nyamai also announced that, thanks to church offerings, singers among the graduates would have the opportunity to record their music without financial constraints.

“We will support them with church offerings. That is the purpose of these offerings—to empower church members,” she explained to TUKO.co.ke.

Why did Cynthia Nyamai walk from Mombasa to Nairobi?

TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Nyamai took it upon herself to transform the outlook of the Kibra locality, known for its trademark slums.

She intended to build an ultra-modern stadium at the Olympics Primary School, where local talents would be honed and high-level sporting events would be hosted.

To raise funds for the cause, Nyamai walked 488 kilometre walk from Mombasa to Nairobi.
