Samburu - A young man has sought an audience with President William Ruto over their striking resemblance.

For years, Sawara Lepario from Lodokejek has been fondly christened 'Ruto wa Samburu' due to his similarities with the head of state.

The residents revealed they started calling him that name at a very young age before Ruto ascended to the highest office in the land.

"People started calling me Ruto even before our president was elected," Lepario narrated in his first interview.

However, another section of Samburu West has claimed he resembles Ruto's eldest son, Nick Ruto.

"If you see Nick Ruto and Ruto from Samburu, you might even think they are twins. You wouldn't even know which one is which when they meet,"said Nicholas Lektasharan

What question does Lepario have for Ruto

The young man revealed that he dreams of meeting the head of state one day for a one-on-one chat.

Lepario stated that he would ask Ruto to clarify who was resembling the other during their meeting.

"I just hope one day by the grace of God to meet our President. Let's just ask each other two things. Firstly, ask the president, "My friend, who resembles who? Am I the one who resembles you or are you the one who resembles me?" Just like that," he added.

Ndindi Nyoro's look-alike writes placard to seeking his help

Separately, for as long as he could remember, Joshua Kiprop was told that he bears a striking resemblance to politician Ndindi Nyoro.

Kiprop said that he has often brushed off the comments, thinking that it was just a coincidence, but countless times he has walked through town, and people called him Ndindi.

The striking resemblance to one of the country's most vocal politicians has, however, not helped the upcoming musician's career.

That is why the Eldoret-based man wrote a placard requesting help from the legislator, adding that he believes they are brothers.
