Sheila Wegesha's Neighbour Recounts Events That Led To Death Of Nairobi Businesswoman

• Sheila Wegesha was found dead at her home in Athi River, Machakos county, after being allegedly murdered by her husband
• The neighbour of the couple shared that they usually left their home at night and would stay indoors during the day
• According to the neighbour, her kids started screaming the following day at 1 pm after discovering her lifeless in a pool of blood

The police have launched an investigation into the death of Sheila Wegesha alias Bamboo, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Jack Bamboo.

Gorry images emerged of the 38-year-old woman's lifeless body in her bed as police arrived to pick up her body to go to the morgue.

What happened at Sheila Wegesha's home

An immediate neighbour of the couple at their Hillview apartment in Athi River noted that it was impossible to know if they were having issues because of how the houses were set up.

"When you look at this estate and the way the houses are, it is not easy to know what's happening in the neighbour's house. What we can say is by 1 pm yesterday (Friday), the kids started screaming because one child from this household came out saying their mum is dead," he said.

How Wegesha's kids found out about her death

The neighbour also disclosed that the couple had been living in the estate for two months and that they were working at night.

"During the day, they are always at home, but at night you will see the car is not around,

Wegesha's eldest daughter, 18, revealed that she discovered her mother was dead when she went to take lunch to her.

Car used by Wegesha's husband found at Kencom

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported moments after the murder became public on Thursday, police traced her husband's vehicle in the Nairobi city centre.

It was a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV believed to have been used by the prime suspect in fleeing the murder scene.

Athi River sub-county chief of investigation Wesley Lang'at revealed that the vehicle -with registration details pointing to Bamboo- was found at a parking lot in the city.

The police established that he left the car in the custody of a security guard, whom he had paid KSh 430.
