A woman identified as Mary Kigwa took to social media to express her disbelief after being billed an exorbitant amount for a simple meal at a local restaurant.
The incident, which has sparked mixed reactions among netizens, unfolded when Kigwa visited a restaurant and ordered a cup of Tangawizi Tea along with a sausage.
However, what followed left her stunned when she received the bill.

According to a photo of the receipt shared on her Facebook page, Mary was charged a staggerin KSh 630 for the two items she had consumed.
"KSh 630 for just sausage and tea. Ningekula food si ningeacha Figo hapa," she captioned the photo.
The receipt indicated the amount, but it left many baffled at the seemingly inflated price for such a modest meal.
Her post quickly gained traction on social media platforms.
In a further interview with TUKO.co.ke, Kigwa noted that the post was on a light note and that she was not complaining about the price.
"I know many people assumed that I was complaining but the truth is that I was not. I was surprised at first but then I was okay,"she said.
According to her, she understands that business are trying to stay a float during the tough economic times.
