They excitedly lined up to greet the MP before he was ushered into a waiting SUV, which led him out of the multi-million complex to join his entourage.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the legislator said he is dedicated to helping needy students realise their dreams.

"We don't want to see young kids in our constituency stop going from school due to financial difficulties.
We are determined to ensure that every student gets a chance at education to create a better future for themselves," said Jhanda.

The MP's constituents commended him for his effective discharge of mandate in Nyaribari Chache.

Alfred:

"Hello, you are doing a good job, kudos."

Raymond Nyansera:

"You're doing a good job, Hon."

Mohamedmudey:

"Keep going."

Obiye senior:

"I had never received KSh 10k on a bursary. In 2027, I will vote in the morning for Zaheer."

Why does Zaheer Jhanda want vape ban?

The MP is currently leading a campaign against the distribution and sale of shisha and vape pens in the country.

In April 2024, he took the Ministries of Health and Interior to task at the National Assembly over the widespread vaping and smoking of shisha in Kenya.

Jhanda urged the authorities to outline measures to stem the vice, warning that its popularity was threatening the lives of the youth.

He proposed a bill criminalising their sale and use in the country by mandating a two-year ban and licence withdrawal for those found flouting the law.
