A Kenyan security firm has announced a massive recruitment drive for security officers and other positions.

When is the BM Security recruitment drive?

BM Security advertised the vacancies on its website, noting that successful candidates must undergo three weeks of training.

The recruitment is done from Monday to Saturday between 7:00am and 8:30am at BM headquarters in Nairobi, along Jamhuri Road, off Ngong Road, on the way to the Nairobi International Show Ground.

"We are urgently recruiting a big number of security officers and ladies who are Kenyan citizens of high intergrity, highly motivated, results oriented, and willing to joing our guarding section for deployment at the beginning of October 2024.

Recruitment will also be at BM offices in Mombasa, Kisumu, Kisii, Eldoret, Nakuru and Nyeri," the advert stated.

What are the requirements for security positions?

• Form Four leavers (minimum of KCSE certificate).
• Men should be between 26 and 40 years old, while ladies should be between 25 and 35.
• The height requirement for men is 5 feet, 5 inches, while the requirement for women is 5 feet, 3 inches.
• Candidates should possess a certificate of good conduct.
• They should be proficient in oral and written Kiswahili and English languages.

The security firm also advertised the alarms/projects technician and marketing officer positions.

Which vacancies did CA announce?

In related news, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) announced attachment opportunities starting in October 2024.

CA invited qualified and interested candidates to submit their applications on or before October 2.

The authority said the opportunity will be offered for a three-month period, urging those with the urge to learn to apply.

Which jobs did Safaricom advertise?

Elsewhere, Safaricom announced jobs for experienced roles, including M-Pesa API engineer, database administrator, and senior cyber defence centre analyst.

NCBA Bank also announced job openings for positions like data engineer, digital acquisitions lead, and network administrator, with application deadlines extending through September 2024.
