Kiambu: Two people have been confirmed dead and ten others seriously injured after a bus from Arch Bishop Ezekiel Group of Schools collided with a trailer at the Gitaru, Kikuyu-Wangige Junction.
The accident occurred on the night of Thursday, August 22.

The school bus that collided with the trailer veered off the road and overturned, severely damaging almost its entire roof.
Similarly, the trailer’s front side was severely damaged, illustrating the accident's severity.
The horrific accident drew a large crowd, with onlookers appearing devastated by the severity of the crash.
Residents of Gitaru gathered at the scene were seen attempting to rescue those trapped in the vehicles.
Moments later, police officers arrived at the accident scene, launched an investigation, and had the bus towed to a nearby police station.

In a separate incident, at least three Kwale Girls Secondary School students were recovering from injuries after their bus crashed while returning from the Kenya National Music Festival in Eldoret.
The accident occurred in Samburu area, where the bus, which was also carrying teachers who had accompanied the students, overturned on Monday, August 12.
Photos from the scene show the overturned bus lying on its side beside the road, with a man seated on the shattered windscreen.
Despite the National Transport and Safety Authority's ongoing efforts to improve road safety, the number of road crashes in the country has continued to rise.
