Gor Mahia's ardent fan, Jared Obonyo, widely known as Jaro Soja, is making headlines with his lavish traditional wedding.
Jaro tied the knot with his longtime partner in a colourful ceremony held at her home in Kanyamwa, Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County.
How did Jaro Soja pay dowry?
In accordance with Luo's cultural traditions, Jaro travelled to his in-laws' home to pay the bride's price.

The event, captured in a video by Jarunda Mambobiad, showcased Jaro and his entourage's unique approach—they used a ferry to cross from Siaya County to Homa Bay.
The dowry included over 20 cows and an impressive convoy of luxury vehicles.
Jaro was warmly welcomed and treated with great respect by his in-laws, marking a successful and harmonious union.

This grand celebration wasn't Jaro's first extravagant wedding ceremony. In July 2016, he held another traditional wedding that similarly stood out for its grandeur, with a green theme.
The fan-favourite has once again shown that he knows how to celebrate love in style.
Jaro Soja bitterly weeps at mum's funeral
As we previously reported, Jaro broke down in tears as he bid farewell to his mother on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
His mother passed away weeks before the funeral after collapsing at their home in Gem, Siaya county.
He had shared a video of her final moments on social media, hoping to get some help from well-wishers.
However, instead of sympathy, he received a lot of criticism and backlash from netizens who accused him of neglecting his mother and exploiting her for social media views, likes and clicks.
Jaro was devastated by the accusations and the loss of his mother.
He said he had done everything he could to care for her and make her happy.
