Kiambu - Governor Kimani Wamatangi has announced a significant overhaul of the Kiambu county logo, including the removal of the previous Kikuyu slogan.
The county boss explained that the move reflects the governor's commitment to align the county’s branding with its diverse, cosmopolitan nature.

In his explanation, Wamatangi highlighted that the old slogan, presented in Kikuyu, did not accurately represent Kiambu's multicultural composition.
The updated logo now features a new slogan that emphasises Wamatangi's pledge to improve service delivery across the county.
"We have changed the logo. The previous one was in Kikuyu, yet Kiambu is a cosmopolitan county. The new logo speaks to what the governor is doing, Delivering Excellence," Wamatangi stated.
On Thursday, August 22, over 400 households in Ngecha, Limuru, received their long-awaited title deeds after more than 30 years, thanks to a successful verification process by the Kiambu county.
The title deeds were issued following a comprehensive process involving the National Land Commission and the Office of the Land Registrar.
Residents expressed immense relief and joy, with many having lost hope that they would receive the deeds after such a long wait.
Some recipients, like Sarah and Samson Kamau, thanked governor Wamatangi, highlighting the security of knowing their children will now have an inheritance.
Still in Kiambu county, Wamatangi's government has constructed 134 modern Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) centres to enhance child development.
Wamatangi emphasised that quality infrastructure at this crucial stage shapes children's attitudes toward education.
He said the county's feeding program, which includes providing milk, aims to keep children healthy, focused, and motivated to attend school regularly.
Wamatangi highlighted that the feeding initiative is also designed to boost enrollment and reduce absenteeism caused by hunger in ECDE centres.
