President William Ruto's administration has set 22 demands for Adani Airport Holdings to fulfil before taking over the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The Adani Group subsidiary sought to lease JKIA and modernise its facilities for the next 30 years.

Mbadi noted that the Public Private Partnership (PPP) committee halted the deal's due diligence exercise until the matter in court was settled.
"The PPP directorate has not approved any stage of the Adani Airport Holdings deal without the approval of the PPP committee, which stopped carrying ou due diligence following the matter in court," said Mbadi.
Mbadi told the Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa-led committee that should the court uphold the deal, the Indian firm will not get clearance from the PPP committee until it meets some conditions.
"We cannot approve the project development agreement for JKIA until Adani Airport Holdings meets the conditions,” he noted.
The CS highlighted some of the conditions set by the PPP committee as follows:
Indian conglomerate Adani Group sought to run Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for 30 years, but the proposal was challenged in court.

This is after the Wiper Party, KANU, and DAP Kenya joined in the matter on Monday, September 23.
