Muthoni Kimani, the founder of Muthoni Interior Decor, is the proud owner of an iPhone after a spirited contest on Facebook started by King Edd.
In a Facebook post, entrepreneur King Edd shared about giving out his iPhone to anyone who would give a brilliant pitch and tell him how they would use it to market themselves.
"The post elicited mixed reactions online. Actually, a majority thought it was a meme. It attracted close to 51 proposals and I carefully selected 10 then moved to two," said Edd.

"I have seen the mobilisation on pages I never thought I’d ever see. These two ladies did their homework so well and to be honest, it superseded my expectations. Digital space being what it is, battle lines were drawn, banter everywhere, and sides taken. I just hope we leave it at that," he added.
According to Edd, the package included about 10 different entities from different businesses or professionals who wanted to be part of it.
He said he would work towards making sure it was wisely allocated to the winner while getting a token for the runners-up as well.
"Congratulations Muthoni Kimani. You take it," he said.
"Imagine I'm crying a river right now. I'm trying to process the whole emotional turmoil. I've experienced ever since I started participating in the competition," said the talented interior decorator.
Muthoni also shared how she tried her best to reach out to everyone because each vote counted. She also tried to respond to every message and got so overwhelmed by everything.
"The insomnia I've had for days now and couldn't even eat without refreshing King Edd's page. But wueh! I cannot thank you enough. The banter, calls, messages of hope and the love you guys have showed me, I'm just cutting onions," she said.
"How you believed and rallied votes even when the odds were against us. Ah! I think I'll need to shut my eyes a little but then come back when fresh. For now, I thank you for turning that flicker of light into a whole beam," she added.
In another story, two bright students emerged as the winners of a hot mathematics contest involving students from 33 countries and 590 schools.
The winners are 16-year-old Emmanuel Olusanya, who was in Form Three and 14-year-old Ireoluwa Olajide, who was in Form One.
Olusanya and Olajide are both students of Welkin International School, Ata-Otta, Ogun state.
