Kenyans have hilariously reacted to a clip of trending Bishop Ben Kiengei teasing his wife, reverend Joy Benson, days after the viral leaked audio that propagated rumours about her.

The bishop and his wife have been trending for the past few days after a viral leaked audio between Damaris, a businesswoman who attends his church, and another woman emerged, leaving tongues wagging.

Hours after Wairimu Kimani asked for forgiveness for leaking the audio, the bishop has, for the first time, addressed it publicly, albeit in a hilarious manner, while preaching at his church.

He left his congregation in bursty laughter after hilariously teasing his wife Joy as she entered the church premises.

"Welcome wakindukulu," he said as he burst out in laughter with his congregation.

He also warned his congregation against trusting their friends with sensitive information, citing the leaked conversation in the audio.

"People are tough nowadays. Haven't you seen people confiding in their friends, and then the friend releases the audio to the public? If a friend can do that, what about a distant person? You should not just disclose information to anyone. Some secrets just take to the grave," he stated.
"Actually you cannot even trust that person you are married to. I spent the week looking for 'muthogoto' in my house. I searched all the drawers because I wanted to take some for my mind to calm down," he added while poking fun at his wife again.

Bishop Kiengei amuses Kenyans

The videos of him publicly teasing his wife in the wake of the leaked audio left many netizens amused, just like the JCM congregation. Here is what Kenyans had to say:

Kijana Stevie Nderi:

"I would never join in condemning him because God has a way of reviving his people."

Francis Gachuhi:

"Where do people get the guts to hate on this guy?"

Gladys Murebeh:

"I love this. Collecting the pieces to his advantage. You can't hate this guy."

Vaashiz Grace Michuki said:

"I like this comeback."

Jackiequinta Blessed said:

"She must be very strong."

Woman who leaked audio apologises

In other news, Wairimu vehemently apologised to Bishop Muthee Kiengei over the leaked audio in which she talked about him with Damaris, aka Dama.

According to the evangelist, she did not have words to express how sorry she was for putting her through immense pain.

According to Wairimu, women talk and trust each other about the things that hurt them most, and her main mistake was trusting her friend too much.
