What Kenyans said about Ruto's visit to Germany

This caught the attention of many Kenyans, who shared mixed reactions over the planned trip in September 2024.

Some criticised the head of state, questioning why he could not create jobs back at home.

@SlightlyMad10 argued:

"If you think justifying these trips is what we will consider accountability, you’re wrong!!! Very wrong!.."

@yekinai asked:

"Remember the last time Ruto went to Germany? They agreed on exporting 2.5M Kenyans to Germany, iyo deal ilifika wapi?"

@Omwenyo1 said:

"It's a shame that instead of creating a local environment for economic growth and jobs, the president is traveling the world seeking help from those who know how to manage an economy. He should be learning from their success and applying it here."

@p_atrk argued:

"Say the truth, he's going for a holiday in Germany."

@Eric_Smix claimed:

"He's going to look for Watchmen n House girl jobs for Kenyans..."

@Gichuru_Muiruri commended:

"Thank you, Hussein, and safe travels, my president..."

@cutemsok said:

"Let the deal be fruitful... maybe we are not wishing him well that's why the deals fail."

@bungomaduke noted:

"He'll bring us more goodies. Safe travels."

@Krepublics2_ wondered:

"Kenya -German jobs deal? We want jobs in our country."

Youth heckle Ruto over job plan in Nairobi

The head of state discussed ways in which interested youths could apply for jobs but was heckled by the public, who expressed their frustration.

A section of Kenyans shared mixed reactions about the job openings, as some called for a permanent solution to unemployment in the country.
