"He had just taken the personal car from the car wash as he got ready to hit the road and go to the village. He was the only one in the car as he travelled. As he drove, he was over-speeding, and he lost control and unfortunately collided with a Guardian bus," Otieno heartbreakingly said.
He shared a video of the state at the accident scene with the white personal car severely damaged by the collision impact.
The scene caught the attention of many people who were heartbroken and curious about the incident.
Otieno said he had known Ochieng since childhood, and they had strong bonds as friends from the same area.
"I have known him all my life. He was a great friend, a people's person. Many were shocked when they heard he was no more. I was equally heartbroken and surprised. We had many plans together, but now, none of them will come to fruition. It is so horrible," he said.
The young man from Migori county said his 23-year-old friend worked at a quarry, citing he was hardworking.
Otieno added that funeral plans were still underway as friends and family members grieve the loss of the young man.
In another story, Brian Mwangi met his death on Sunday, September 8, through a grisly road accident on Thika Road.
The 21-year-old was on his way home from doing a setup in church when their Range Rover rammed into a stationary truck.
Family and friends struggled to accept the loss and requested prayers from Kenyans.
