Nairobi - Moi Kapsowar Girls High School has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting academic excellence by flying its top candidates to Nairobi.

The school's move is part of an initiative to boost students' confidence ahead of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams later in the year.

According to the school, the trip, facilitated by Timothy Kilimo, the school's board chair, is designed to remind the students of their limitless potential.

As Kilimo explained, the excursion gives the learners a chance to explore the vibrant capital while carrying with them the hopes and dreams of the entire Kapsowar community.

"With their heads held high and hearts full of determination, they are set to return, even more motivated to excel. Kapsowar Girls High School continues to nurture champions, preparing them for a bright future ahead. The program has been rolled out as an annual event to keep the girls motivated and to always remember that they are the Champions," Kilimo said.

Kilimo further highlighted the significance of the trip, noting that it exposes the top achievers to the fast-paced world outside the school environment.

He pointed out that the opportunity helps students understand their potential to impact society and drive positive change.

"Learning coupled with exposure enables our young girls, not only know that there greater opportunities to seize with hard work and determination, but they can be the ones driving greatness and transformative change," he added.

Moi Kapsowar Girls celebrates top 2023 KCSE students

In February, TUKO.co.ke reported that Moi Kapsowar Girls High School awarded 2023 KCSE top performers with a cash prize of KSh 500,000.

The 15 candidates who were generously rewarded attained A- despite the challenges that the school had been facing.

Among them was Lorreen Musimbi, who walked to the school with an empty box and the determination to succeed.
