Nairobi - Police have launched investigations following the mysterious murder of a 36-year-old Indian man in the Parklands area.

Who was Sagar Panara?

Citizen Digital reported that Sagar Panara, an employee at MART Networks, was shot dead outside his residence on Tuesday, September 25.

According to the police reports, Panara, was shot as he returned home from the Aga Khan Sports Club.

Detectives believed the assailants followed him from the club as he drove his Toyota Corolla vehicle before ambushing him at the entrance to his residential compound.

Following a brief altercation, the assailants shot Panara in the neck below her right ear and fled.

What message did the assailants leave behind in Parklands

Neighbours and police swiftly responded to the gunshots and rushed Panara to Aga Khan Hospital, where he died during emergency treatment.

At the scene, detectives found six threatening leaflets that bore the message, "Vacate Narok land, one Panara down and Narok"

Police are investigating whether the Panara family's potential connection to a plot of land in Narok may have motivated the violent attack.

Was Somesh Ramesh murdered?

Elsewhere, on Sunday, May 12, the lifeless body of Somesh Ramesh was found inside his car in a ditch along Ngecha Road in Nyari Estate.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Ramesh left his home on Saturday, May 11, at night after receiving a phone call from unknown people, only to be found dead the following day.

The 54-year-old Indian businessman, who was involved in the landscaping business in Nairobi, was found with three stab wounds: one on the chest and two on his thighs.

Detectives believe he was killed elsewhere and his body taken to the site by unknown persons before being found by security guards who were on patrol.

Ramesh’s body is stated to have been bundled in the front seat of his car, and the car WAS driven into a ditch to make it look like an accident.
