Nakuru - A tragic accident has occurred along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway at the Twin Bridge after a 14-seater matatu collided with a lorry.
The unfortunate incident happened on Saturday, September 14, leaving 11 individuals with injuries after being trapped in the wreckage.
The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) confirmed that rescue teams promptly transported all the injured to Molo Sub-County Hospital for urgent medical care. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and the police have since cleared the scene.

"A road traffic incident involving a 14-seater PSV and a lorry has occurred at Twin Bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. 11 injured individuals have been taken to Molo Subcounty Hospital by the Kenya Red Cross and the police. No fatalities have been reported. The police have cleared the scene," said Kenya Red Cross Society.
This incident adds to a concerning series of accidents in the country, which has caused increasing anxiety among road users.
In response, the government has been diligently working to address the issue by strictly enforcing traffic laws to enhance road safety.
Elsewhere, a family in Migori is mourning the loss of their 23-year-old daughter, Becky Vivian, who died in a collision between an LPG tanker and a matatu on the Mai Mahiu escarpment.
Becky was in the matatu, taking their uncle home for burial. Her sister told TUKO.co.ke that Becky had just started a job and was helping to support their siblings with school fees and other necessities.
She described Becky as a devoted role model with a generous heart.
