"I was raised in Isiolo and understand all the challenges my people have been going through over the years," Thuranira said.
The political aspirant said he once ran for the seat after receiving numerous complaints from his constituents and having deep discussions with local elders. Although he did not win, he hoped the elected leaders would serve the people well.
"I did not get the seat but hoped the elected leaders shared the vision I had for Isiolo people. However, the opposite seems to be true judging by my engagement with Isiolo people over the weekend," he added.
Thuranira said he heard his people's concerns and decided to give politics another try for their benefit.
"They need better representation, development and an improved lifestyle. During my visit to Isiolo over the weekend, innumerable electorate pleaded with me to represent them and I heeded to their call," said Mwenda.
In a separate incident, the CEO discussed his remarkable journey from holding menial jobs in America to achieving corporate success.
Thuranira discussed the challenges he encountered and the resilience he developed while studying abroad.
His story began in Kenya, where he worked as a receptionist for Air France. His dedication led to an opportunity for further training abroad, which he eagerly accepted.
Upon his return, he continued in his role until the airline ceased operations a year later.
This unexpected turn of events left Thuranira without a job and allowed him to pursue a long-held dream.
With this inspiration, he enrolled in pilot training classes in the United States.
To support himself while studying, Thuranira took on various odd jobs. Among these, he worked as a bellboy, a position with its challenges and lessons.
